- The total number of steps is unknown or the sequence of steps depends on user input.

Ensure that steps are identified and convey number or structure
Procedure
For each multi-step process:
- Determine whether the interaction consists of multiple sequential steps
- Verify that the multi-step process is indicated in every step
- Verify that this identification is perceivable by users
- Verify that the way steps are identified conveys either:
- the total number of steps, or
- the structure of the process (e.g., sequence or grouping)
